UK: New textbook on print journalism
In a new book called "Print Journalism: A critical Introduction" 14 UK journalism academics provide "a valuable insight into the skills and knowledge required to work in the print and publishing industries", reports HoldtheFrontPage. Richard Keeble, professor of journalism at University of Lincoln and editor of the book, said on HoldtheFrontPage: "It covers a vast range of topics including sourcing the news, interviewing, sub-editing, feature writing and online journalism, so it should be popular with both students and teachers." He himself contributed a chapter on "Is Virtuous Journalism Possible? A Critical Overview of Ethical Dilemmas".
